I like this place. Not love but like. Fair prices, nice atmosphere and pretty tasty food. I think it's a little weird that it's Chinese AND Sushi but it works for this little place. Good place to go before or after a movie, if they are still open that is. They close a bit early I think.

Hated everything but their lo-mein. Lo-mein = 5stars.. Rice, Dumplings and Soup = 1 star.. Average makes it 2.5 but I am a half full type person so we'll round it up.

I have some mixed feelings on Yummys... When we walked in it was jam packed and smelled vaguely like stale fish... A good sushi place generally doesn't smell like fish as that is a sign that the fish is going bad. Anyways, so we wait for 5 minutes to get a table and while it was busy... it was exceptionally slow service. We saw one couple leave after awhile having not gotten to order anything when they were clearly ready to for about 10 minutes. Anyways, we ordered the chow fun and the Singapore spicy noodles... Pretty good. I had their "regular" Chinese dishes a few months ago and they were nothing special. If you're in South Beach, it's relatively reasonably priced - so give it a whirl. You'll definitely see some interesting people in there... definitely did see some folks last night.

I'm in love with this place. My boyfriend first introduced me to Yummy about a year ago & it's been my favorite ever since. This is a quaint little place that mostly locals go to. It's not loud, obnoxious or filled with annoying I'm in Miami b#Â¥ch tourists. It's small and quiet. The service is excellent! The waitress is always friendly. The food comes out on time nice and hot. The crab rangoon here is awesome. They have a very extensive sushi menu too. I decided to venture out of my comfort zone & ordered the Dancing Eel Roll sushi & I loved it. My first time trying eel & it was amazing. Their chicken dishes aren't all that special, but it's still good. This place is very clean & well taken care of. The fact that it's been around for well over a decade speaks to its quality. If you live in Miami or just visiting & want to go off the beaten path try this place.

New Years Day 6:30pm - Stopped in an hour before the movie started. My friend and I wanted to order Chinese dinner combination (soup, egg roll, rice and entree) but was informed this menu is not available as the kitchen was too busy..the restaurant was less than half full or at most half full. Can u believe that? We had to order off the regular menu and spend a little more. What a waste of money. My pan fried noodle with roast pork came with a heavily seasoned dark brown sauce, awful roast pork and very little veggies...not even won bok cabbage..I liked the 3-4 snow peas and 3 shiitake mushrooms to give it a one star. I could only eat half the dish. The menu said Cantonese style which to me means a white to clear sauce with ginger but the sauce tasted like it came out of a can. Service was good until the end. We paid the check that includes a 15% gratuity. It came to $35.27 and we left $35. So the server said we forgot the 27 cents...I left 23 cents more which is all the change i had. I'm glad I had a free ticket for popcorn and I will stick to better Chinese on 163rd St..

Yummy won me over with their stellar phone service, speedy delivery, well-priced dinner combos and reliably tasty food. Still haven't found really good Chinese on the beach but Yummy thoroughly satisfies any late night cravings. The General Tso's was a miss but the Honey Garlic Chicken is a winner. Light and crispy with with sauce on the side to prevent a soggy mess. Looking forward to trying the orange beef that Colleen L. raved about.

This place is great if you want a quick meal, or even quicker delivery. I am literally on the phone still ordering, and there is a knock at my door. I am always amazed hot quick their delivery is usually less then 20 minutes. They have good sushi, not great but for delivery and their cheap prices it is well worth it.

Have been looking for good Chinese in Miami for 1-1/2 years. Read the reviews and hoped I found it. Ordered takeout. I arrived 10 minutes later and it was ready... impressive. Busy place so I took that as a good sign. Got back and started with the vegetable spring rolls. Very good. Was excited to dig in to my Szechuan chicken--chicken was completely dried out. Nice level of spice but wow, what a disappointment. My guess is that the chicken was pre-cooked and then tossed in with Szechuan sauce and vegetable mixture. None of the flavor was in the chicken which also points to pre-cooking. There is no way it get's that dried out and flavorless otherwise. Two stars for the good spring rolls (which deserve 3-4 stars) but 1 star for the chicken.

The food is consistently good. Served fast and freshly made. The staff is friendly and frankly there is no place better for casual Chinese food on the beach.

Again, another fantastic place that you're most likely to pass by without noticing it. A small cafe style place with waiter service and HUGE PORTIONS for a good price. Very little to say, because it's really good. We were all craving chinese food and looked this place up on Yelp. Glad we tried it.

I've been to Yummy a few times and have not been disappointed. I've tried a different dish each time I went and was pretty satisfied with most of them. Have not ordered their Japanese items yet. Food: The first time I went I ordered the Curry Beef. It wasn't horrible, but nothing to brag about either. I am a big curry lover, but this just didn't hit the spot so I will not be ordering that again. My boyfriend got their Mongolian Beef, which I loved. I always order something different because I want to try other menu items, but I find that I always end up eating some of his Mongolian Beef. :) It has just the right amount of sauce, veggies, and meat. The beef was good too, not chewy or rough. The other times I've been to Yummy I had the Honey Garlic Chicken and General Tso's Chicken. I liked both of them a lot too. I think the Honey Chicken was the best I've had anywhere in Miami. The sauce was sweet, but not too sweet or overly garlicky. The General Tso's Chicken was yummy. The chicken was battered, but I didn't feel like I was eating bread. There was just enough breading that I knew I was eating chicken. It was a bit spicy, but nothing too hot that would prevent me from getting it again. Price: A bit pricey for chinese food. Two sodas and two main course cost about $29. I suppose it's expected since it's in SoBe. Service: Not bad. The waitstaff was friendly and spoke english. Overall: Good food and atmosphere. "See you tomorrow."

$12 for soggy, salty, and large chunks of "general tso's chicken." The batter was too thin and the chicken was drowning in a watery soy based sauce. Of course the few pieces of broccoli on the bottom soaked up all the salt and were inedible. The sauce really needs more acidity, sweetness, and viscosity. General Tso's chicken should have thick batter w/ crunchy ooey gooey surprises which make you wonder if it's meat or batter. * I have a feeling that they're using frozen fried chicken from Costco. That explains the abnormally large dry breast fillets, the thin batter, and the high price. * Update: It's the day after and I feel dehydrated, fatigued, and thirsty, it was in fact too much sodium. Today I felt a sharp pain down my arm... stay away if you want your health.

Just giving a quick update re:delivery from Yummy's. I ordered a couple of simple rolls (spicy tuna and negihama, $5 each) and some wonton soup for lunch (one of the more healthy options when you work on Lincoln Road). They took my order, and I paid with credit card over the phone (though you have to present the card to the driver when he arrives) and I was told that they are really busy so to give them a little more time for delivery. 30 minutes later they were calling me that they were here. It was amazing. A lunchtime miracle! And of course, the food was completely on par with my previous experiences. Yum yum Yummy's.

Ordered here 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Each time they delivered the food within 20 minutes! It was hot, exactly what we ordered. Run down of food: Pad Thai - had this twice, a little different both times but Very Good! Beef & Snowpeas - Very Good Chicken Dumplings Fried - Excellent Chicken Lo Mein - Good, needed something ?? Honey Chicken - Very Good Shrimp Fried Rice - Excellent Will miss this place but will order from here again anytime we are in Miami.

Despite the name, this place is has reasonably good sushi. Lunch boxes are were slightly week, but the California Roll was best I've had in a while. Very cute chicks, just off the Lincoln - 3 and half stars.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I would love to give you a review based on their food but unfortunately we never got that far. Our family had recommended this place to us and said they had great food so we decided to go have a nice dinner there. When we went in we told them we had a party of 7 (3 of those were children). The manager or whatever he was told us there was not enough room for us and he couldn't take us. He could have said there would be a wait or something but no instead he said we had to leave. So we waited outside for the rest of our party and while waiting he comes out and says we can split your party up into two tables..we say ok. So I decide to go to the bathroom while waiting. I ask him where it is and he says I can't go and somebody is probably in there. I then said I will wait and he said no because he didn't know how long they would be and I couldn't use the bathroom. About the same time the rest of our family shows up and when he sees us all he says no I don't have enough room for you you have to leave. Never in my life has this ever happened to me and I was shocked that he would push away such a big table for his small business that would have made him a lot of money. If you like very POOR service then go here!! Otherwise save yourself and enjoy your evening and money somewhere else!!

Yummy gets the award for most-improved. A few years ago I ate here and got food poisoning and so did the person I ate there with which caused us to dub it "Not so Yummy" for many many years. Recently, I gave it another try and although I find its Chinese food blah (then again am not really a Chinese food person) their sushi rolls have much improved (this was where the food poisoning came in last time). Also, they make delicious egg drop soup which is my go-to food when I am forced to eat Chinese. Also, their delivery is super fast;I literally had barely gotten off the phone when they were at my door no less than seven minutes later.

My go to place whenever I'm in the mood for Asian food! Chinese? Check Sushi? Check THAI?!?!? Check! That's right... Yummy now even has some Thai dishes on the menu and that makes me very happy! For a few years now Yummy has been my choice for delivery on South Beach and it never disappoints. I love their Chinese food because it isn't too greasy, is the best in South Florida? No.. but its convenient and good. Their wonton soup is my favorite... so good and a good amount too. As for their sushi, it can be a bit pricey, but its always fresh and good. Now for the Thai!! I recently discovered on their menu, they had pad Thai. I have ordered it twice and again I was a happy camper. Again I have had better in town, but it satisfies my craving! Now the best part: delivery time. They are fast and this comes in handy during the week after a long day at work, when all you want is something quick and you're not in the mood to cook!

This is my go-to place for delivery when I'm on the beach. Their delivery is always super fast and the food is really good. My husband jokes that they have a secret restaurant in our building. I always get the Curry Beef from the Thai menu, as well as their steamed shrimp shumai. Their soups are great too, always arriving nice and hot. I've eaten at the restaurant too, but mostly use them for delivery, just because there are so many restaurants to choose from on South Beach, and parking here on Alton is always a mission. The Mongolian beef and the Kung Pao chicken are also really good. I've had their sushi, which is also good, but I rather eat that at the restaurant. Somehow transported sushi creeps me out, although I have ordered it and it's been good. It's just a personal thing, not their fault.

Very displeased with the amount of food that we received on this delivery! We ordered Thai Chicken and Shrimp with no pork (it comes with pork), and no onions. They delivered the $16 dish with 6 pieces of chicken and 4 shrimp!!! What?!!! I called to express my concern, we also tipped the driver $3 (not his fault). Bottom line was that they didn't care!!! Although they offered 10% off the next order. There will be no next order! We've been ordering from Yummy and going there since they opened their doors and this is what long-standing customers get in return for 5 years of patronage! Look it's alright to make a mistake but to NOT care about customers who have spent many, many dollars at their restaurant and referred people over and over again, and again is a "show stopper!" You can take your chances with Yummy but I'm done spending my hard earned money at their restaurant... Imagine if you are a tourist?! I wonder if they even know about Yelp?

Amazing food, fast service and delicious food. Needed a place to go since I just moved to the Sobe. Text a friend and she said her and her husband always eat here. We decided to give it a try. WOW! So glad we did. Great pricing for the dinner combos. Ordered General Tso's Chicken and Cashew Chicken with egg drop soup and hot/sour soup. We also received egg rolls and wontons of course. Couldn't be more pleased with this place. Will definitely order from again and recommend to friends.

I loved this place. I'm new to Miami Beach, and looked to Yelp to guide me to a good, inexpensive Chinese restaurant. I haven't eaten at any other down here, and probably don't need to after this experience! I was impressed. The waitress was attentive, friendly, ALWAYS smiling, and on top of things. The thing that impressed me most was how fast everything was served. We started with drinks and had them a minute later. We ordered food (check out the great combos with excellent prices on the back of the menu), and the soup came right away, followed by the spring rolls, and then the entrees. I had a beer, and she even brought a frosty glass. We both enjoyed the food. It was served hot, and I was impressed by the freshness of the vegetables in my Szechuan beef. I'm not one to give 5 stars out easily, but I couldn't find fault. (I suppose they could put table cloths on the tables, but why bother... The tables are in fine shape.) We had a great meal, with more food than we could eat, along with drinks, for 32 bucks. All I can say is YUMMY!

Yummy was NOT so YUMMY (-_-) Service was ok and the food wasn't Great. I had 2 sushi rolls, chicken fried rice & the Chicken noodle soup. None of them were good. Plus they automatically add a 18% Tip on your bill. I pass on this restaurant! NEXT!

It's hard to find great Chinese food in South Beach for take out or for lunch. I thought the Mongolian beef was great as well as their pork fried rice. Before ordering their chow mein or low mein, make sure you liked at the pictures on their menu! BTW, the former Miami Heat Jason Kapono liked this place. I understand he use to practice his culinary skills in their kitchen when he wasn't practicing his 3s.

More proof that walking just off the main beat is economically savvy. This is a nice place, I have been there twice. I always get Chirashi bowl, which was 15 large pieces of fish over a bowl of rice in a lovely clear glass half shell bowl. For $19 with soup or salad, it is a very good price for a large amount of sushi. This serving really was large enough of more than one person. I highly recommend strolling Lincoln Ave, then hang a right at Alton and ur at Yummy within one block then stroll back to Ghiradelli chocolate where JLo ate and eat ice cream sundaes.

  • Jordan N.

The spider roll was really good. Even though it was almost $9, and it was only 5 big pieces, I couldn't complain as I haven't had a good spider roll in a long time and this place met my expectations. Most dishes are around the $10 -15 dollars range. But you can find some for $8 and some others for $17. I just wish they didn't serve hot tea in little tea bags. And I also wish that the ice cream tempura was bigger. It's big enough only for one person. Service is good, and it's close to Lincoln Road mall. Also offers delivery ($10 minimum order, $1 delivery charge - can be more depending on the area).

It's as healthy as chinese gets. The general tso is a full breast with light breading and the fried rice is never greasy. Delicious!

I had heard this place was pretty delicious but some were saying it was a miss but I had to try it out for myself. I thought this would be another typical local Chinese restaurant where it would be loud, chaotic and a little on the not so clean side but upon entry I saw that it was clean, quiet and pleasant. There is a quaintness to the place. There was someone there to great me and I was seated right away. I had bravely decided to take my 3 year old son with us that night and walking in I could tell that it would be an ok location for him not to bother too many people. Our greeter handed us our menus and we jumped right in to see what they had to offer. The waitress was very nice and greeted us right away, she was really nice to my son and that always scores points with me. The menu is massive and complete with pictures which always makes making a decision so much harder! Chinese, Thai & Japanese cuisine were the options on the menu. They have everything from spring rolls to shrimp curry. The sushi rolls looked creative and reasonably priced, all the rest of the food offered all looked great but my sister and I decided on a Rainbow Roll to start with & I ordered the shrimp with broccoli and she decided on the spicy cashew chicken for the main course. The roll came out pretty quick and I could tell right away that the sushi was fresh and the roll is nicely made. We devoured that in record time. The waitress cleared our plates right away and before we knew it our main courses were up. The shrimp were nice and juicy and there was a LOT of broccoli but since I love broccoli I wasn't complaining. The spicy cashew chicken had the right amount of spice and it was really tasty. Both entrees came with a little bowl of rice, just enough to eat with the entree. All in all I really enjoyed my experience there from the service to the last bite of shrimp I had that night! I can't wait to go back and try some more next time.

It cost $17 for beef on a stick, a small order of chicken lo mein & miso soup. And I was not impressed. The beef had no flavor to it at all and neither did the lo mein. The miso soup was good though, although I'm not sure how you can mess that up. I would try it one more time and order something else but it was disappointing.

came here for a leisurely weekday lunch, got the sushi and sashimi lunch box. kinda pricey for lunch at $15 but its huge and fresh and comes w. miso or salad. got the miso bc its freakin freezing these last couple weeks, soup always warms my soul, lots of seaweed, scallions and chunks of tofu. box was big w. 2 gyoza dumplings, fresh salmon tuna and some white fish i couldnt identify but was delicious, cali roll and an orange already sliced for me. yatzhee! fast friendly quick service. cant say anything about the chinese side bc im not too keen on chinese. Yummy in my Tummy!!

I went to this resturant last night and I was waiting to be seated with my boyfriend...they where taking forever...the place wasnt packed they had open tables but they where all dirty =/ so when we finally sat down we were waiting for like 10mins they didnt even bring us a menu,, so I got up and got it myself ...they were ignoring us for no reason at all I couldnt understand?... then a party of 4 ppl came in they sat them down and took their order before ours brought them water and everything and completely ignored us.. I felt so offended just because the other people where chinese or whatever they werent giving me and my boyfriend any service... I got up and walked out I couldnt believe how racist they where being. I am a super nice respectful person..I never give any one attitudes especially servers I understand because I work in a restaurant but I just couldnt believe how long we were waiting to be served and they where serving two different tables before us and we got their first. I will never go back.

best delivery service in south beach. You call it in and 15 min later its at your door. Its not the best chinese food by any means, but its good and if your craving chinese or want quick take out this is the place.

I love this place. The prices are decent and the service is great, whether you eat in or get delivery. It is definitely the place to go on the beach for Sushi that's well priced and tasty. The Chinese food is ok, I prefer their sushi.

My faviourite chinese place on the beach....Women look decent and they bring it too my house. :) Food is on point tea leaves something 2 be desired s well as the desserts but the combination of sushi and chinese is both way above average. Im from the bay area and I know what real chinese food is supposed 2 taste like. A pleasure.

it goes without saying that this might not be ranked as high in a city that is more advanced in asian culinary expression, but we'll get there one day, miami, just you wait and see. in the meantime, i no longer have a proper frame of reference and yummy may very well be the best chinese in miami. everything always tastes fresh and the lunch combos are great deals with way too much food. the general tso's is delicious and served unlike anywhere else, because the chicken is in fillets instead of nuggets. makes it feel special. i've also enjoyed the egg rolls, spring rolls, steamed/fried dumplings, fried wonton, and hot and sour soup. i did have a weird experience with the noodle soup once wherein the noodles were spaghetti but maybe no one ever orders that or it was a weird day. also (this seems to be a miami thing) the mixed veggies are loaded with bok choy which is the bane of my existence (is broccoli expensive or something??). i'm willing to forgive (see the beginning) as this place is by far the most reliable, consistent, inexpensive and tasty chinese delivery for miles.

If you order an entree for delivery be sure to ask for rice or you get none. Packaging and handling of the delivery could be better. There was sauce all over the place. Very messy!!! Otherwise the food was delicious.

I've ordered from this place since 2012 when I first moved here. Thye have traditionally been pretty good. Well priced and tasty Chinese food takeout. I've probably ordered from here 50 times in three years, if not more. Something has happened overnight. I've ordered from here twice in the past week and its clear that they have become extremely stingy. Its almost humorous. A few days ago, the eggrolls, which were once my favorite, now look like f*cking cigerallos. I thought maybe they were short on ingredients, but then I noticed that I probably had 60% of the food I usually have with the entree as well. Tonight I ordered the sushi moriwase, which is basically a "chef's choice" of good sushi picks. Well this is what I got for the 9 picks: two imitation crab sticks, two shrimp, two tunas, two salmon, and an eel. I also got the rail-thin egg roll cigarello. It used to have one of something different, including octopus and whitefish etc. and didnt' always have the ultra-cheap imitation crab stick, let alone two. I didn't even have enough wasabi. Maybe 1/4 the usual wasabi. $20. Total ripoff. I feel like the owner is going for broke, closing down, and just seeing how much money they can squeeze out.

  • Jonathan A.

Wow how the years have gone by and the food went down hill. Not sure what happened but this used to be good. Had the wonton soup, dumplings and General Taos chicken. Each one was a progressive fail. Sadly miami has lost all of its good Chinese spots.

No doubt about it, it's the best bang for your buck. Huge portions for $6-9 bucks. The waitress is super rude, but makes for the whole experience. My colleagues and I go for lunch all the time so we're now getting used to her.

The worst managed Chinese food , no substitutes not even a veggie spring role without having to pay extra fee . Some items on the menu no longer exist , they added 15% tip to the bill without disclosing it & I almost missed it . I asked if I can speak with the owner , she came ( the owner) half way to the restaurant , and then went back & never returned . There were only 2 of us in the restaurant , not too difficult to figure out who asked for the owner .

Considering I order from this place about twice a month and never had a minimum delivery yet today when I tried to order they said its minimum $15! They tried telling me this has been in effect 8 months not true. The guy who was on the phone wasn't pleasant and informed him he lost a customer of 11 years which he was not phased by. Let's see how you continue your delivery business with that crazy minimum for Chinese food

    (1)
  • Arne R.

Yuk, a new owner/ manager I understand. this used to be great American Chinese food (never tried the Japanese as I go to a Japanese restaurant for that) and delivery service used to be quick and friendly That's all gone, guy on the phone was a plain a..hole and food was pretty much not edible. I mean how can you mess up an egg roll? That bad t's a shame this used t be my go to place for sinful American Chinese but never again

    (2)
  • Johnny T.

You've heard of truth in advertising? Yeah, this is the opposite. Oh, South Beach... First of all, Yummy commits the cardinal sin of attempting to merge Chinese and Japanese cuisine. No. Never. The food has very little in common and the cultures couldn't be further apart. Restaurants need to focus on what it is they do well and do just that. Asian cuisines and cultures are not interchangeable. If you (the business owner) think that's what your customer wants, expect better from your customer. Sushi or dim sum? You can't do both well. You can't... and Yummy doesn't. The sorrow started with the menu. It was a nasty, dirty, sticky (hot) mess that was completely unappetizing. But for my friends insisting on staying, the menu would have been reason enough for me to leave. I settled on the $9.95 dinner special: soup, egg roll and entree. The egg roll was rubbery as in I couldn't break the seal with my fork and had to put my back in to the saw work it took for the knife to do the job. My hot & sour soup was more like lukewarm & bitter. The chicken with garlic sauce came with white rice and was a healthy portion. The problem was it didn't taste like anything. Forgetting the adage that chicken is tasteless (not when prepared correctly), the garlic sauce should have been flavor bomb enough to season the dish. No. It wasn't. I trudged through the meal, shoveling food into my mouth because I had paid for it, rather than I was hungry or excited about what I was eating. After half of the meal, I'd had enough. My stomach was full and bloated (you know that discomfort you get after eating bad Chinese food? That) and I was no longer in the mood to be there. I boxed up my food and contemplated giving it away but i honestly felt to do so would be a disservice. I am not being funny here. I didn't think this was food I should give to another person. I wound up leaving it for any one of the legion of street cats that make up South Beach. 2 stars because bland is better than 'made me sick.' Well, 'really sick,' at least.

Loved the beef chow fun and the sushi was very good. All the food I tried was delicious so any thing you order is going to be good.

Delivery was fast, but the Thai Curry Chicken was less than appetizing. The flavor and consistency was that of creamy chicken soup. It was not appealing to they eye or the pallet.

Residents of South Beach please stay away from this business.... DO NOT ORDER TAKE-OUT!!! Mananger asked for a credit card number over the phone told her I'm paying CASH, picked up my food paid in cash, 2 hours later my Visa card was charged then the manager tells me it will take 2 to 3 days till I get my money back.... Wrong way of doing business and the last time Yummy sees my money... Learn how to treat your guest better.

Best Quick Chinese in SoBe for take out or delivery even eating in is fine. There are 2 better Chinese places on the beach but they are outrageously priced. This is great for a quick fix. The wonton soup is full of flavor, it is my favorite above miso and egg drop. But all three have great flavors. I like sesame chicken the best, general Taos is good also, also the veggies are always crisp and fresh. No matter what you order its fresh and well done. Good flavors and lots off it. I am pretty sure MSG is not used bc i am sensitive to it and haven't gotten and head aches or tummy issues from this place. They have a great lunch special for those of you on the beach.

Best place to have dinner in South Miami. The Food Tastes So Good. The Service is Excellent. The Lady who serves is awesome. They guarantee customer satisfaction by providing excellent quality food. 15% Of Total Amount is Mandatory for Tips. After that they do have another option for Tips (optional like other restaurants) which is funny. After paying 15% ... Why again there is a option?? To make the Customer Fool

I can't believe it Yummy, you did me so dirty. I USED to love this place!! I would order every couple of wee The last time I ordered from here I spent most of the night crouched over the toilet, not a pretty sight. But I refused to believe it was food from Yummy. Ordered again tonight and the food was completely indelible! The dumplings were completely overlooked , I could hardly chew them. The sushi rice was in the same crappy boat, so over cooked that it was just a sticky gluey mess, we ordered 2 rolls of sushi that had tempura flake and the tempura was so stale that at first bit we though there was crab shell in the roll. Needless to say after a $60 order that went into the trash Yummy has lost my business, which is unfortunate because the used to have very good food and amazingly fast delivery.

It's still the best delivery "Chinese" food kind of day restaurant in SOBE, but, that's it. Its ok for the prize and its a clean restaurant near lincoln road .... Love the Lunch & Dinner Menus esp Curry Chicken.

We've lived in Miami Beach for several years and have experienced the slow but steady deterioration of Yummy for the past few. Tonight is the last straw. I'd rather dig through the dumpster next to a decent restaurant than experience that again. Oh, and change the frier grease. It's obviously been a while!

This is the second time Ive eaten at Yummy. The first time was a year ago. Not sure what happened, but I remember I was unimpressed. My bf had always liked Yummy, but he's from Detroit. Midwesterners know precious little about these things. So we called our regular spot for a delivery and they didn't answer the phone (bizarre, no?). I agreed to try Yummy again. Gotta tell your that I was pleasantly surprised. Our Miso soups were tasty. I rewarded myself (I don't remember why) and got Veggie Fried Rice...fried rice is so yummy and oh so fattening, so I rarely partake. I requested that it be prepared with minimal to no oil--I can't STAND for it to be greasy. It was perfect! Lots of veggies and really good. Not at all oily. Bf ordered Bourbon Chicken I think. The portion was really substantial and the chicken looked great, with some broccoli hanging out on the side. He said it was delicious. Okay. I'm a believer.

Another one bites the dust! This once great and consistent delivery place has turned like so many others in SoBe. Awful service, took over an hour at 2:45 mind you not even a standard meal time, to deliver cold soup and an ahi tuna tower without rice-Please see picture for what showed up. A ball of ingredients I can't make out what resembles cat food. I called to ask them to refund the dish and they could pick up the food. The woman who talks incessantly told me that they couldn't refund the credit card. Apparently they are the only biz in the world who can't refund a cc charge. Then she promised to send back the tag team delivery drivers with cash and surprise that did not happen. After 35 minutes I call back and now speak to the alleged owner who rambles on and on lies some more and says they will call me back when they decide what to do. Really? All I wanted was a refund and they still almost 3 hours later. Have yet to put the customer first, refund my money for the garbage you tried to pass off as food. Now they won't pick up the phone and refuse to give me my money back. Let the customer beware- they will steal from you and pretend they don't understand after lie upon lie.

Yummy? I think not. The egg rolls must have been fried in fishy oil that needed to be changed because they were permeated with fish flavor. One bite, and the rest went into the trash. Next--vegetable lo mein. Decent at best but really just kind of limp, bland and unappetizing. Next--walnut chicken. If you like burnt walnuts then this stuff would be perfect for you! Restaurants are so very hit-or-miss around here, and this place is definitely one of the latter. Will not go back.

It's still the best Sunday delivery "Chinese" food kind of day restaurant in SOBE, but, that's it. Of course, it has nothing to do with China.

  • Sabrina D.

I don't like being told what to do, so when I come across a placed named "Yummy", naturally I'm like, "Dude, you don't own me! I'll decide for myself!" So I make my way over to (we'll see if it's)Yummy Chinese & Sushi Bar. I kept hearing how great it was and it was 9:45 so our options were limited. Their website listed that they are open until 10:30 which was cutting it close but we already knew what we wanted and knew we wouldn't take long. We're greeted by a sushi chef yelling at us from the other side of the room in what I assume is Japanese. I look behind me, assuming it couldn't be directed at me. Then we realize he's telling us where to sit. Our waitress comes over and we're ready with our order because we checked out the menu before leaving the house. The service is excellent (except for the verbal assualt upon entering), the food arrives quickly and is excellent. Since I think in yelp stars, I'm planning on giving this place a solid 5 stars. Then a few bites into our meal they start prepping for closing. I understand this as we arrived late and I've worked in the restaurant business. I know it takes a while to clean everything and nobody wants to stay later than necessary. I feel a bit rushed but don't consider it rude. That is... until they start sweeping right next to me. It's important to note that we're not the only table there. In fact, another table arrived after us and there's a table of 12 next to us. I'm sure there are several things you could be doing in the back instead of picking up dust next to customers while they eat. Then they start with the chairs. They tell us all, "take your time" while they proceed to pick up every empty chair. At this point I'm pretty ticked off because I feel rushed and can't enjoy my meal and why do you even let people in if you're in such a hurry to close the place. And then, the icing on the cake... THEY TURN OFF THE LIGHTS! No lie! While people were still eating! For a second I thought someone flipped the switch by accident. Nope, they all just stood around and waited. We ask for a box, leave cash on the table, and decide to finish our meal at home. As I walk through the door I check my watch (a.k.a cell phone lock screen) and notice it's only 10:15. If these people had any common sense they wouldn't even begin the closing until 10:30 but to do it half an hour early, while you still have several seated tables, is just completely ridiculous. This could have been a 5 star review, and the only reason it's not a 1 is because the food was good but I doubt I'll be going back. With all the other good restaurants in the area that do not treat customers like a niusance, Yummy is not worth the attitude.

Cheap quality Chinese food. No flavor. Every time I order I have to get chili oil and an excessive amount of condiments to make my meal have any flavor. The chicken is always chewy and bland. Either lower your prices or step up the quality.

I normally order delivery, but last week I decided to go in and take family with me, included nephew ad niece (6 yrs & 6 months respectively). I had a great time, the food was good and there was no wait between dishes. The servers were amazing and very friendly as well. I really enjoy giving local restaurants thumbs up, and these guys really earned it this time. Weird: I think the owner or the manager is a bit too intense, so don't freak out when he tries to sit you or bring you stuff to the table. He really means well.

Ordered from this place before cause its one of the only Chinese restaurants in Miami Beach. But they never seem to get the order right and really just don't care. Today I braved a lunch special. Decently priced, thus the 2 star rating. Ordered it "Light on sauce". Came in swimming in gelatinous msg-laden goop. No apologies. No replacement. No nothing. When I complained the waitress said she had already told the chef, yet she served it to me anyway instead of marching it back into the kitchen to get it right. When the check came, a 15% tip was included (which is ridiculous for a party of 1), yet there was another area left blank for a tip and circled, either to try to get a double tip, or perhaps so I should pay more than a 15% for this service. This place is consistently inconstant and the only people who could possibly give this place a stellar rating are people who don't know any better. Because in any other city with decent Chinese food, this establishment would cease to exist.

Yummy has good take out style Chinese food with a twist of sushi on their menu. For the price its a good deal, the food is decent. It's probably better for takeout than dine in.

This restaurant has ok Chinese food. I know this because I have been there a few times. I made it a point to share this spot with my mother who is visiting from Jamaica, because we happened to be nearby on Alton Rd just around lunchtime. BIG MISTAKE! I ordered the general tso chicken, my mom mixed up chow mein with the low mein, when we ordering however she did make it clear to the waitress that she was expecting noodles with the chow mein dish. When the issue was voiced, the response was met with the coldest response! I was understandably distraught with the obvious lack of respect so I then proceeded to request to go boxes and the bill. I did make it clear that it was an understandable mistake and the reason I would like to leave is because of the unnecessary attitude exuded by the waitress. However my mother needed to use the restroom so she requested to do that. She was told that a plumber was in the restroom and she would not be able to use it! When I went to verify if this was true IT was not! I will never visit this place again and I would only recommend a soulless person to eat at this place, only because this is the general feeling in this empty at lunch time restaurant. Thank you for the worst restaurant experience of my life. I made it a point to leave the food that I packed to go there, I'd be fine without it! For $26 dollars for two simple dishes and soups and automatic 15% gratuity u can have the decency to let someone use the restroom.

This review was so good, I'm repeating it just incase girls decide to see my profile instead of the San Francisco lover boy; yummy has some awesome lunch specials for $5.99 monday - saturday. ive been there a few times already since i started working in the area. service is fast and effective. do not come in expecting to get the most amazing and authentic chinese food youve ever had in your entire life. in other words, if youre from san francisco youll probably think this place is a joke but if youre from san francisco .. then youre a joke yourself. haha. just kidding, cheer up you pretentious hippie.

The waitress asks me to choose a more expensive noodle for $12.95 because it is "more Chinese". The price is reasonable if the food is good, but it is awful...

This is one of our favorite places to go for date night. The dinner combo is such a great deal and the service overall is excellent. You never wait long for food and they keep your water glass full. My only negative feedback I have is that some of the chicken entrees taste an awful like the chicken strips from the freezer aisle. I do not recommend the General Tsao. But the Bourbon chicken and the Thai curry chicken are delicious! Will continue to come here again and again for great price, quantity, and customer service!

I used to go to this place all the time and it was good. But lately the quality and the attitude from the OWNERS get's worse and worse! I ordered a chicken dinner and the chef totally messed my food up and the chicken was hard as a rock. Not a big deal usually! But first they try to say that it supposed to be like that, then after they took closer look at the chicken, they agreed. Normally it was never a problem to get a food order corrected. I said that I would like to order something else instead (I didn't trust their chicken anymore), but they wouldn't let me order something else! I couldn't believe it. I sit between my friends what eating their food and I wasn't allowed to get food there anymore even THEY made a mistake and overcooked a old chicken! They have one REGULAR less!

Being a visitor in the Miami Beach area, I checked out Yelp for delivery recommendations, and Yummy seemed to have really good reviews, so I ordered. The food was there in less than 20 minutes. It was hot, and delicious. I got the sweet and sour chicken, and 3 egg rolls, and the noodle soup which comes with the order if you get the Combo meal. The best part about this place is that they don't use mystery meat. It's real chicken, and it was so awesome to bite into something that my palate recognized! Super fresh, and the sauce is really delicious. I'm a huge fan of egg rolls and these didn't disappoint. Fast and delicious. Definitely highly recommended.

REALLY??? go to tourist busiest street for the yummy Chinese food? You must DRUNK. Please DON'T visit this place on wkd, holiday, try using grouppon or choice combo..side dish will cost you more and more like sushi room feeling... not Chinese at all. not sure you will agree my opinion but Chinese restaurant next to Lincoln Rd, customer could help to pay the rental.

Yummy used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant on the beach.....until recently. I usually don't go to restaurants when its near their closing time, your dining experience is usually rushed because the staff wants to go home which it totally understandable. We sat down at 945, when sign says they close at 1030. We just wanted a quick bit so i thought this was ok. Not 2 minutes after we sat down, the waiter came by twice to take our order and explained that the kitchen was closing soon. I thought it was a little early but we said we needed just a few minutes to decide and we'd be ready. Immediately after, the owner i'm guessing ALSO came to take our order and was quite rude telling us that the kitchen was closing. We didn't even have a second to look at the menu! So we got up and left. I wasn't about to have the lights turned off on me mid-meal. (True story-happened to someone i know.) The food is still good and the takeout is still awesome! But dine-in..... unless you get there 3 hours before close-I'd pass.

This was my first experience with Yummy's and I called because of a recommendation of a coworker. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and oddly enough we had a great brief conversation during my order. I love personable customer service. The food was delivered very quickly. Granted I am only 4 blocks away but I was impressed with the timeliness. I ordered the General Tso's chicken and chicken wings... the food was just ok. First time seeing General Tso's made with chicken tenders (obviously previously frozen and dipped in the sauce). The chicken wings had an odd taste as well. So overall great service but just blah food. The hunt for great chinese on the beach continues.

Oh Yummy, how can it be that I have not Yelped thee?! Please accept my deepest apologies. I've ordered delivery from Yummy dozens of times. It's my go to hung-over food. So soft, salty and warm! But I've dined in too, and the food is equally delicious. The service is fast and friendly, though the ambiance is a bit lacking. The Chinese items are much less greasy than your usual take out spot. The Thai Curry sauce is amazing. Combos are a great choice as they get you your entree of choice, with rice and soup of your choice, as well as egg roll. You can easily get two meals out of them. Service is great for delivery too. They are fast and efficient. I frequently get my food in less than 30 minutes! I hold back one star for the following reasons. The prices are a little high, even for sobe. The sushi isn't the best. They open at 4pm on Sundays. Curse you for never being open when I wake up on Sundays, Yummy! Please reconsider this torturous policy. Bottom line: Best Chinese delivery on the beach.

This restaurant has the worst customer service I have ever received. I ordered takeout and part of the order came out wrong. I called to exchange the food that was a a mistake and was told that it wouldn't be possible and that they can't make the trip to my house that's 5 minutes away. I asked to speak with the manager who started arguing with me that I indeed ordered the food that I recieved and that she wasn't sending her delivery people bc they didn't feel like going. After going back and forth she called me a an expletive female dog . I will never order takeout from this establishment again and the food is pretty average as well. So order Yummy Sushi if u want your order wrong , no customer service , and to be called names.

It's a pleasure to see that Yummies is still here. It's by far the best Chinese food on the beach, from soup, egg rolls and main dish. The food is fresh and authentic with excellent sauces. You won't fine that gooey, gross, loaded up with corn starch/ syrup here.

I came in here after a friend who lived in the neighborhood really recommended it, and we happened to be very hungry craving sushi after a long day on the beach. Hungry and anxious to eat, we searched for parking. Parking is a bit of a hassle on Lincoln. And a little pricey too. Once we were inside, we glanced at the menu. Sooo many choices. We started with a few items but one of my favorites was the tuna tartare tower. Amazing!!! Great for sharing. We had a few sushi recommendations from the chef. Everything was fresh delicious and different from the traditional sushi spots on the beach. It's a little pricier than your Hiro's and quick to go spots. But worth it! The timing on the food coming from the kitchen could have been a little quicker. The service was attentive. Overall I would definitely recommend Yummy's to someone looking for more than just regular sushi, and more of a tasty oriental lunch or dinner.

Yummy Chinese fits the bill for Chinese delivery on SOBE. (If a better option exists, we haven't found it.) Delivery is fast, the eggrolls are good and everything else we've tried is decent. We consistently order the same things: chicken dumplings, panfried, veggie soup (simple but good), and a dish with veggie/tofu. I found it's best to avoid the meat at these little places, as it tends to be dry or rubbery.

  • Justine V.

Pretty disgusting. We ordered General Tsao's Chicken, which was tough and the sauce tasted burned. Veggie Lo Mein was insipid. The only ok thing was the broccoli in both -- was actually crisp. Crab Rangoon inedible. Tasted like freezer burn.

Talk about a misnomer. I had some pad thai and vegetable springs rolls delivered to work for lunch a couple hours ago. Immediately thereafter I experienced a rare case of Taste Amnesia. This experience was forgettable, but I do know I've had better [elsewhere].

I used to come all the time to this place. Used to love it! But on a recent visit, service wasn't as friendly and the food was on the bland side. Still good, but not amazing as I was used to.... Maybe new chefs or new management.. I don't know. I would still try it again...

The food is okay...not great but definitely not the worst I've had on South Beach. The service...and the ownership...nightmare!! We went in on a Saturday night at 9:45 after a movie on LIncoln Road. The restaurant had other customers at the time. When 10:45 rolled around we were just finishing up and the restaurant was empty. The owners literally asked us to leave. The sign on the door says they are open until 11:00 but at 10:45 they had already put the chairs up on all the tables around ours in order to make us uncomfortable enough to rush out of there. I can tell you that I will NEVER return! I wouldn't care if they had the best food in town, which they don't. To rush a customer through a meal is inexcusable, especially on a Saturday evening.

I've had Yummy three days in a row now. Yes. You read correctly. I ordered a small chicken lo mein on Wednesday. It was delicious. Lo mein is a standard dish, and while I love it, it can be bland but NOT at Yummy. It was the most delicious lo mein I've ever had. Very fresh and full of real chicken. And it was perfect because it was enough for TWO lunches! I ordered it again today, this time to split with a co-worker. She heard me rave about the lo mein, so we ordered the lunch special today. $6.50 for a large amount of lo mein, pork fried rice, and an eggroll? Yes please! The other thing I love about this place is how quickly they deliver. Within 15 minutes - during the lunch rush mind you - I had my food, hot and fresh. This place has definitely been added to my favorite lunch spot on Miami Beach!

We tried Yummy again in the hope that it would better than the first time. Not to be too fussy but, we would not recommend the pad thai (mystery flavor), gyoza (small and overcooked) or curried shrimp (too hot). The fact the the portions are somewhat large is offset by the fact that it's not very good. Although I did like the fried pork dumplings. The good news is that they deliver. We'll keep searching for quality Chinese and / or Thai in the SoBe area.

After ordering from Yummy for years without issue we were shocked by their rudeness and horrible customer service. An incomplete delivery order was brought to our house. When we called to question the mix up they accused us of lying and said they were flagging our account. This was over a missing $6.95 order of dumplings. You just lost our business for good.

By far the best Chinese in Miami Beach. We have been a million times and will be back a million more! Fresh, hot and great sizes always. Sesame chicken is to die for! Soup is wonderful as are all the appetizers. The prices are a little high for some items but generally okay as far as Chinese goes (and would much rather pay a few more bucks for quality!) MUCH better than the 4-5 other places on the beach. We have only had sushi a few times and everything was good but I would say the Chinese is a step above (there are tons of great sushi places in MB, but few good Chinese places) Plus they are extremely quick and on the ball with take out or delivery. Very nice and get you in and out when you dine in. Wish they took Amex or Discover though! Definitely try this place out !

Being new to Miami as of this week, I was in need of some fast, convenient, and yummy food because I have yet to turn the gas on in my apartment and this my stove is not yet functional....so I read some reviews here and decided to give this place a shot. The delivery was super fast and the delivery guy was super friendly, asking about how I liked Miami and hoping I was enjoying myself so far- so that was a plus! =) I ordered the Beef and Broccoli dinner combo and man, it is a lot of food. It was ~$11 for it but it comes with a soup (choice of wonton, egg drop, or hot and sour) with complimentary crispy things to eat it with, egg roll (with a yummy mango-y dipping sauce), generous serving of your entree and, of course, a fortune cookie. I did not have a problem with anything losing its crispiness. The egg roll was still hot and super crispy and the broccoli still had a nice fresh crisp to it as well. I wouldn't say this is the best Chinese food that I've had, that explains the 4 stars- but for the price, speed of delivery, amount of food and taste, I'd have to say if you're looking for a quick dinner option this is a place you should try. It only was a $1 delivery fee (and I also tipped generously because he was quite friendly =]) and your order has to be at least $10, but really the portion was large enough to make 2 meals for me so it was worth it!! P.S. If paying by credit card and getting delivery, make sure to take the credit card with you and make sure the numbers are raised because they make a carbon copy of it on their receipt.

Not the best, not the worst. But I would not order anything but sushi and maybe a fried rice, even though it's not necessarily amazing. Their entree's are the typical, often disappointing meals that I have often encountered with "Chinese"-American fast food. I would say the "okay" sushi is the only thing really placing this restaurant a notch above your typical Chinese fast food place.

  • Danielle S.

My sister is in love with the dumplings here so every time her birthday rolls around, everyone in my family cringes because we know where she wants to go. The service is mediocre; pretty standard for Miami. The food is also mediocre but she can't get enough of the dumplings. The restaurant is small. Eating there did not leave a particularly positive or negative feeling and is not anything special. But seriously, good luck finding good Chinese food in Miami!

A friend turned me onto Yummy...big plus points- they deliver super fast (like 20 minutes for real), the food is hot, flavorful and decently priced... I was initially turned off bc yummy recieved some negative reviews and because truthfully the place is not that nice, its small and looks like a cheapy NYC chinese place.... I love the pad thai, the chicken chinese dishes and the convienent location lol.. honestly its great for a quick bite before movies etc, a late night delivery and again Im torn between trading thai house pad thai to theirs... Havent tried the sushi kids...I'm extremely picky about sushi...warn i wouldnt go for the appetizers, jus fried tastless nothing special rolls etc...

This place is just around the corner from lincoln rd on Alton. The service was good. We order the dinner combo beef szechuan which, typically, comes with fried rice, an egg roll and your choice of soup. The beef was ample and well prepared. Fried rice was good and the egg rolls were good (these were the thick egg rolls that contain vegetable - which is the way I like them). The hot and sour soup was also very good. We ordered barbeque ribs - here they were made from baby back ribs rather then the more standard spare ribs - but they were well prepared and tasty. So for standard non fancy, frugal, chinese - this place was fine and I will return. They also have a Japanese menu - but most people seemed to be ordering Chinese. I noticed that they did not have any of the usual Japanese soups like Udon - There is ample street parking and there is a municipal parking lot just around the corner (in the back) - all metered -still it can be difficult to find a spot when the crowds arrive for Lincoln Rd. The place is not fancy - and has some rough edges - as far as decor goes - DO not bring your date here (though I guess wives are OK).

This place was pretty good. I definitely will give them another go later on and see if I feel better about it. I just wasn't that impressed by the food to be honest. We got the crab rangoons to start which were kind of bland. Then we got an order of the crunchy crab roll and the shrimp lo mein. The shrimp were tiny and we got like 7 in a huge sea of noodles. It also was way too salty. The roll was also just ok. There is a crunchy crab roll at another sushi restaurant on the beach that is much simpler and much tastier. The prices were pretty standard. All in all it wasn't bad and I definitely want to give them another chance, but it wasn't that great either.

Had the lunch special, Shrimp with Cashews & Veggies. It was delicious. I will be back to try other dishes on their menu.

Worst service on the Beach. The delivery took forever and when it arrived, rice was missing. I called and they said "no, we packed it.. and the person who packed it is very innocent, if you want your rice you have to come yourself". I drove over and there was no apology, just a lot of excuses. This place has been on the decline for a couple of years now, they've become extremely cheap in their selection of ingredients and portion sizes yet their prices have gone up. Increasingly frustrating dealing with the staff. I give up with "Yummy", after 5 years as a loyal weekly customer. Good riddance.

Surprisingly, one of the better Chinese places I have eaten at in Miami (metro area). The service was good, menu had a large selection and the food was good, for the most part. The one entree - black bean chicken did not taste so fresh, but the Kung Pao Chicken and Cashew Shrimp and other dishes made up for it. I will return here in the future.

This is my go-to place on the beach for affordable, tasty and fast delivery. I've never been disappointed!

Delivery is always super fast! I'm addicted to the thai curry chicken. Delicious. When I want to take a break from that I eat shrimp w/ broccoli. The shrimps are fresh. The restaurant itself doesn't have a great ambiance, but i recommend it for delivery.
